On the Beach Noosa has a dress circle location in the heart of Noosa and has been designed to give the maximum number of rooms at the hotel a view of the beach. With Noosa’s most famous stretch of sand on one side of the hotel, Hastings Street on the other, and everything within easy walking distance, there is no reason to take the car out unless you want to venture further afield.

There is a dizzying array of suites to choose from at On the Beach Noosa, but your choice will probably come down to budget and whether you are travelling with family, a pal or your partner. Two bedroom apartments are located closer to the Hastings Street side of the hotel and don’t have the stellar views of the beachfront rooms, however these are great for families or two couples sharing. Most of the other room categories are designed for two people, making this hotel the ideal spot for a romantic getaway. If you would like to stay at Noosa over Christmas or Easter and would prefer a hotel that is not overrun with kids, On the Beach Noosa is the place for you.

We loved the One Bedroom Open Plan Penthouse we stayed in but the open plan studio design and shower cubicle in the centre of the room means this type of suite is definitely best suited to couples. The shower takes full advantage of the stunning beach views but is not ideal if you are travelling with a pal, unless you are comfortable walking around naked in front of each other. If you would prefer more privacy, check the floor plans on the hotel website as several room categories offer this option.

Living area with spiral staircase reflected in mirror

Our room was well appointed with a comfy king size bed, kitchenette, large lounge that was perfect for enjoying the stunning beach view, flat screen TV and outdoor entertainment area for two plus access to a private upper balcony via a spiral staircase. This area has a large spa tub, barbeque, a fridge and bench style seating that is perfect for sunset drinks and casual dining. While there are plenty of nice spots for a drink at the bars along the beachfront, it is hard to beat the view from the top floor.

Heated swimming pool with raised spa at the end

If you’re after a romantic stay in Noosa right on Hastings Street, then On the Beach Noosa ticks a lot of boxes. Not just for the quality of the accommodation but also the friendly staff who seem genuinely interested in what you’ve been up to and how your day has been. Add a heated pool and spa, sauna and gym and a day room for freshening up before the flight or drive home, and you’ve pretty much got it all. If you and your partner want to feel like rock stars, exit through the ‘secret door’ near the pool which takes you straight onto the Noosa boardwalk. It is guaranteed to earn you envious and intrigued glances from passers by as they wonder ‘Hey, who are they?’

Disclosure: The writer stayed as a guest of On the Beach Noosa and loved being able to swim in the pool, even though it was the middle of winter.
